Do I need a new card to use Mylo?

Short answer

No. Mylo works on top of the Visa, Mastercard or Amex you already use. You connect your existing card or bank so Mylo can match receipts to the transactions that paid for them.

Mylo is not a card issuer, so there is nothing new to open and no bank to switch. It works on top of the Visa, Mastercard or Amex you already carry. You connect that existing card or bank through Plaid or Mercury, and from then on Mylo can see the transactions and line them up with your receipts.

Once connected, transactions flow into one ledger, and Mylo matches each receipt to the charge that actually settled it. That is what turns a pile of receipts and a bank statement into coded, reconciled expenses without a new piece of plastic in your wallet.

How you classify a card shapes what it does. Connect a card as corporate, meaning shared, and it drives auto-matching across the team. Connect it as private and it stays visible only to you. You pick per card, so a company card and a personal card can coexist under the same account with the right visibility.

How it works in Mylo

  • Mylo works on the Visa, Mastercard or Amex you already use; no new card is required.
  • You connect a company card or bank through Plaid or Mercury.
  • There is no bank to switch and no corporate card to open.
  • Mylo pulls transactions into one ledger and matches receipts to the charge that settled them.
  • Connect a card as corporate (shared, drives auto-matching) or private (visible only to you).
  • Bank links go through Plaid with bank-grade encryption.

Best practices

  • Connect the cards your team actually spends on so matching covers most of your receipts.
  • Mark shared company cards as corporate to unlock auto-matching and auto-approval.
  • Keep personal cards private so their transactions stay visible only to you.
