Does Mylo work without a new credit card?
By the Mylo team · Last updated July 1, 2026
Short answer
Yes. Mylo does not require a new credit card. It works with the cards and accounts you already have, capturing receipts from your email, connected store accounts, your camera roll, and by matching your existing card transactions via Plaid.
Some expense tools push you onto their own card. Mylo does not. There is no new card to apply for and no switch to make: you keep spending on whatever you use today, and Mylo captures the receipts around that spending.
To pair charges with receipts, Mylo can securely connect your existing cards through Plaid and match each transaction to its receipt. That connection is read-only for matching; it does not change how you pay or issue anything new.
Mylo is free for individuals and works on iOS, Android, and the web, with a team plan at $9 per user per month and a 30-day trial. It keeps the itemized receipt, categorizes it, and can sync to QuickBooks.
How it works in Mylo
- Keep using the cards and accounts you already have; no new card is issued.
- Optionally connect existing cards via Plaid so Mylo can match transactions to receipts.
- Capture receipts from your email inbox, connected store accounts, your camera roll, and scans.
- Mylo keeps the itemized copy, categorizes it, and can sync clean expenses to QuickBooks.
Best practices
- Connect the cards you actually spend on so charges and receipts line up automatically.
- Add your email and top store accounts too, so receipts flow in from every direction.
- Start free as an individual, and try the team plan's trial only if you need shared workflows.
