What platforms does Mylo work on?

By the Mylo team · Last updated July 1, 2026

Short answer

Mylo runs on iPhone, Android and the web. Receipt capture and the camera-roll importer are mobile-first, while accountant workflows like approvals and accounts payable are designed for desktop.

Mylo runs on iPhone, Android and the web, and the design leans into what each surface is good at. The employee experience is mobile-first, because that is where receipts happen: scanning, camera-roll import and quick capture all live in the phone app, and scanning also works on the web when you are at a desk.

The accountant experience is built for desktop, where review and month-end work is easier on a bigger screen. Approvals, the AP ledger and its aging buckets, the client switcher for moving between companies, and acting on an employee's behalf all live in the desktop experience.

One capability is mobile-only by design: camera-roll auto-detection runs on iPhone and Android, since that is where your photo library lives to be scanned on-device. On the web there is no camera roll to detect from, so you use Scan there instead.

How it works in Mylo

  • Mylo runs on iPhone, Android and the web.
  • The employee experience is mobile-first: scanning, camera-roll import and quick capture.
  • Scanning and quick capture also work on the web.
  • The accountant experience is desktop: approvals, the AP ledger and the client switcher.
  • Acting on an employee's behalf is part of the desktop accountant experience.
  • Camera-roll auto-detection is iPhone and Android only; on the web you use Scan.

Best practices

  • Capture on your phone, and do accountant review and month-end on desktop.
  • Use the web app for scanning when you are working at a desk.
  • Rely on camera-roll import on mobile to sweep up receipts already in your photo library.
