You connect QuickBooks a single time in Settings under Accounting, and after that the export is a deliberate, controlled step rather than a constant background sync. The key rule is that only approved expenses can be exported, which is what keeps unreviewed spend from ever reaching your books. Nothing lands in QuickBooks until a human has signed off on it.
Exporting is designed to be safe to repeat. When an expense is exported it flips to an exported state, so you cannot accidentally double-send the same item, and it carries a QuickBooks reference that ties the Mylo record to the entry in your books. That reference is your audit link between the two systems.
